IT'S ABOUT THAT TIME!!
The commandos will be having their 2013-2014 season kickoff meeting on Monday, August 5th at 7:00PM. The meeting will be held at Golden Corral on Normandy Blvd. We expect all returning and new players there as well as all of the staff and dance team will be present. This meeting will go over many things before we start camp including the league we will be in, uniforms, insurance for players, sponsors and many other items that will be VERY important to our 3rd title run in 3 years. 3-PEAT is the ONLY thing that has been our staff's minds this off-season. We hope to see all of you there. GO COMMANDOS!!
July 15,2013 -
The River City Commandos amatuer football team started planning for their 2014 season. The staff meeting went over additions to the administrative and coaching staff as well as player personnel. The meeting also included the first meeting with the Dance/Cheer team coaches. The new General Manager/Business Manager of the team will bring a professional experience that this team did not have before. With experience in business and semi pro teams in the Jacksonville area over the past 20 years, he will use his experiences to make the Commandos the Premier organization off the field as well as on the field.
The coaching staff has met and is bringing back a strong core of returning veterans and are looking for solid players who want to win at various other positions. We will be starting conditioning in the following weeks and all prospective players are welcome to come show what you have there. We will be the best team in Jacksonville for a 3rd year in a row and welcome any players who want to win that ring. This year will be different as we are planning on traveling more through Florida and Georgia.
